Biography
Charoletta J. Ransom received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors, from the University of Southern California, in Political Science with a Minor in Law and Society. She continued her educational career at the University of La Verne College of Law, graduating with her Juris Doctorate in May of 1999 with admission to the California State Bar and US District Courts in December of 1999. While earning her juris doctorate degree Ms. Ransom placed first in Moot Court, was admitted to Law Review, and was published in the Juvenile Journal of Law.
Moreover, Charoletta interned with the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office where she sat second chair in misdemeanor hearings, felony preliminary hearings and later transferred to the Appellate Department where she was assigned a responsive brief in a P.C. 187 appeal wherein, she was given public credit for her participation.
Charoletta began her legal career as sole practitioner specializing in Taxation in 1991 and shortly thereafter was introduced to the area of Workers' Compensation in 2001 where she remained for the duration of legal career. Ms. Ransom co-founded the successful law firm Crawford & Ransom, APLC which began in the areas of Taxation and Workers' Compensation and grew over the 21 plus years of operation to encompass a variety of practice areas, Taxation, Workers' Compensation, Probate, Criminal Defense and Family Law.
In June of 2023, Charoletta joined Luna, Levering & Holmes where she has helped represent employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims.
